Retired Senior & Volunteer Program
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) matches the abilities and interests of those 55 years of age and older with community needs in Portage, Ashtabula, Stark, and Columbiana counties. Seniors volunteer their services with children, the elderly, and those who are ill.

Senior Companion Program
The Senior Companion Program, one of only six in Ohio, provides an avenue for income-eligible seniors to earn a modest tax-exempt stipend. They volunteer 20 hours each week in the homes of the elderly writing letters, preparing meals, assisting with light house work, and other tasks as needed. This program is provided in Portage and Stark counties.

Foster Grandparents Program
Foster Grandparents serve as mentors, tutors, and caregivers for at-risk children and youth with special needs through a variety of community organizations, including schools, hospitals, drug treatment facilities, correctional institutions, and Head Start and day-care centers.

AmeriCorps*VISTA
AmeriCorps*VISTA is a national service program dedicated to elimating poverty by helping individuals and low-income neighborhoods make positive changes for themselves. Through AmeriCorps*VISTA, ordinary people provide extraordinary service in more than 1,200 projects nationwide.
