Our mission is to reduce domestic violence by providing monitored exchanges and supervised visitation.
 
Description of Services
 
What Is The Place of Peace?
We are a neutral site that assists separated or divorced families to safely exchange their children for weekly court ordered visitation and/or exchanges, especially those with protection orders.

Who Can Use The Place of Peace?
The program is designed to assist families with current Temporary or Civil Protection Orders in place and any family needing to exchange children in a safe and stress free environment. If there is no court order in place, both parties must agree to use the Place of Peace.
 
We Also Accept Referrals
Referrals come from Domestic Relations and Juvenile Courts, Child Protective Services, attorneys, professionals in the field of mental health, Jobs and Family Services and other sources.

What Is A Safe Exchange?
Children are dropped off and picked up at predetermined times in order that the parents will have no contact with one another during the exchange of their children.
 
What Is Supervised Visitation?
This program benefits family who are court ordered to have supervised visitation but lack a safe and secure environment to do so. During the visitation a staff member is present in the room at all times while the visit is taking place.
 
What Are Our Fees?
This program is FREE to anyone who
qualifies for our services.

Before services can begin, both parties must contact Place of Peace to complete an orientation. The orientation allows for collection of information and explanation of our program.
