AmeriCorps*VISTA is a national service program dedicated to eliminating poverty by helping individuals and low-income neighborhoods make positive changes for themselves. Through AmeriCorps*VISTA, ordinary people provide extraordinary service in more than 1,200 projects nationwide.

As an AmeriCorps*VISTA member, you can chose from projects throughout the country based on your skills and interests. Service is full time for one year with community-based organizations (faith-based and secular). Your assignments may involve starting new programs, recruiting and training volunteers, writing grant proposals, seeking out sponsorships, planning community meetings, or handling public relations. Whatever the challenge, you'll make a lasting difference.
